5 Fall 2020 Shoe Trends to Get on Your Radar ASAP

With Milan Fashion Week kicking off for the third leg of fashion month, a number of new shoe trends are already starting to take shape on the runways. We’ve already given you a preview of new fashion trends we witnessed in New York and London thus far, ranging from asymmetrical sleeves to shearling coats and so-pretty jewel tones – not to mention some seriously unforgettable runway looks on the likes of Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Kaia Gerber. In the shoe department, things are going in two clear directions: gritty, ’90s grunge, and ladylike styles with a decades-past twist. We love us some good trend dichotomy. There’s also a big chain reaction to a certain buzzy trend started by Bottega Veneta last season (you’ll see what we mean).

From the return of the over-the-knee boot to vintage-inspired heels and chunky soles à la the early aughts, here are the biggest shoe trends from the Fall 2020 runways so far. Stay tuned as we continue to bring you more runway highlights from the Milan and Paris collections.
